News of Bosch's move buy a Roseville semi-conductor company, bringing $1.5 billion in investments, is good news for the booming Placer County city, a city official said Wednesday. 'It's a big deal for Roseville,' Dominick Casey said, city manager for the city of Roseville. Bosch, a German conglomerate with more than 400,000 employees worldwide, announced Wednesday that it plans to acquire TSI Semiconductors, turning its foundry into a manufacturing facility for silicon carbide chips. Casey said in an interview Wednesday that Bosch's decision to come to Roseville boded well for California and the city's quality of life.
