PLACER COUNTY, CALIF. — A jury in Placer County has found a Paradise man guilty of stabbing his 62-year-old father to death. The murder occurred on March 14th, 2021, when Roseville Police responded to reports of a stabbing. Police entered the home and found 62-year-old Larry Shade dead, but couldn't locate the suspect. They did, however, spot the vehicle of Larry's son, 32-year-old James Shade, fleeing the scene on video. Four days later, Paradise police, with assistance from the Roseville Police Department and Placer County Special Investigations Unit, arrested James for the murder of his father.
